Cancellation & Payment Policy

How deposits, balances, cancellations and changes to your reservation are handled, and why the time held for you is reserved the way it is.

Our policies protect the private nature of each reservation and the time held exclusively for you. If you have a question about your booking, or you need help with a change, write to us directly and we will guide you through it.

Securing your date

A non-refundable deposit secures your date and reserves that time exclusively for you. For most reservations the deposit is 50% of the total.

Retreat leaders bringing groups of seven or more guests may reserve with a 25% deposit, so the final size of the group can be confirmed closer to the date.

A reservation made within seven days of your experience is paid in full at the time of booking. You are always welcome to pay the full amount when reserving instead.

All payments are made securely by credit card through Stripe, in US dollars.

One week before your visit

The remaining balance is due seven days before your experience. At that point we finalise your guest count, any children attending, dietary requirements and allergies, menu selections, photography arrangements, and any additional experiences you have added.

It is also when our team begins the dedicated preparation for your day: the purchasing, the staffing, the culinary work and the many details arranged specifically for your group.

For that reason the balance must reach us by the seven-day deadline for your reservation to stay confirmed. If it does not, the reservation is considered cancelled and the deposit remains non-refundable.

Once paid in full, your reservation is final and the date can no longer be moved.

Moving your date

If your plans change, you may ask to move your reservation before the seven-day final payment deadline, and we will always do our best for you.

A new date must fall within 30 days of your original reservation and depends on availability. Because the sanctuary is privately reserved and many dates are held well in advance, particularly in high season, we cannot promise that an alternate date will be free.

Tell us as early as you can if your plans are changing. Once you reach the seven-day deadline and the final balance is due, your date is final and can no longer be moved.

If you cancel

Because your date is reserved exclusively for your group, all deposits and payments are non-refundable. Holding the sanctuary for you means declining other reservations and arranging our team, our musicians, the culinary preparation and every other detail specifically around your experience. This applies to a late cancellation and to a no-show as well.

Once your reservation reaches the seven-day lock, the one adjustment still open is adding guests. They may be added until 5:00 PM the day before your experience, subject to capacity, and paid for at the time they are added. Requests after that need approval from our team and cannot be promised, because preparation for your day is already underway.

If your group becomes smaller after the reservation has been paid in full, the total price remains unchanged.

If we need to cancel

In the rare event that something on our side prevents us from hosting your experience, an emergency or an unforeseen issue with the property, every payment made toward your reservation is refunded in full.

We take the commitment of holding your date as seriously as we ask you to, and if we cannot welcome you as planned, you will not be financially responsible.

Weather

Rain has never stopped us. Much of your time with us unfolds inside the cave and the temples, where the experience continues beautifully whatever the weather is doing.

We have never cancelled an experience for rain. Unless you hear from our team directly, plan on your visit going ahead exactly as arranged.
